The client: Richard Crookes Construction, Parklife Metro Western Sydney Airport

 

The client’s challenge: Workforce Development, Industry, and Aboriginal Participation commitments need to be met when undertaking major infrastructure projects in New South Wales. Parklife Metro identified that they needed assistance developing an Aboriginal Participation Plan, managing stakeholder initiatives and ensuring culturally appropriate engagement with Aboriginal people.

 

GIRA’s response: Provision of a Project Management Office to support Richard Crookes Construction achieve their deliverables against their Workforce Development, Industry, and Aboriginal Participation commitments. In addition to ensuring that best practice engagement was undertaken with Aboriginal people, GIRA were responsive in identifying, mitigating and responding to issues, and delivered timely Workforce Development, Industry, and Aboriginal Participation reports.
